Low testosterone is a growing problem across the globe. By its very nature, the body’s natural testosterone producing mechanism begins to slow down production with age. As a result of this, there is less testosterone roaming around the body, and after all, testosterone is the king male hormone responsible for performing many important functions inside the male body.

Low testosterone is what some men end up with and this condition brings with it many irritating and the debilitating symptoms including low libido, lack of motivation, lack of energy and drive and the list just goes on. It basically means a man’s lost his mojo.

Up until recently, sufferers of low testosterone were usually offered some form of testosterone replacement therapy. Unfortunately, these treatments also exposed patients to some potentially dangerous and long-term side-effects.

Thanks to all the bad press testosterone replacement therapy received, this has resulted in a massive explosion in natural testosterone supplements. These supplements are designed to encourage the body to start producing more of its own testosterone as opposed to administering synthetic testosterone.

D-Aspartic Acid DAA by SD Pharmaceuticals is just one example of these emerging natural testosterone supplements. This supplement is apparently “pharmaceutical grade” and contains vitamin B6, B12, and folic acid. The main featured ingredient is D aspartic acid and the primary goal for using this product is to build muscle.

Are D-Aspartic Acid DAA Ingredients Effective?

Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxine Hydrochloride): is concerned with neurotransmitters synthesis, histamine and hemoglobin. This vitamin is essential for producing a vital co-enzyme needed for thiamin. Moreover, vitamin B6 has shown to stimulate androgen receptors that operate by transmitting signals to the testes triggering testosterone production.

Folic Acid (Folate): As above

Vitamin B12 (as Cyanocobalamin): helps to convert carbohydrates into glucose that the body then utilizes as energy. Moreover, this vitamin has shown to stimulate the thyroid gland, as well as help prevent food cravings.

D-Aspartic Acid Calcium Chelate: is a type of amino acid that is commonly used as a testosterone booster. This ingredient is a favorite amongst athletes and is used as a temporary performance booster. According to many studies, although this ingredient is very capable of elevating testosterone levels, effects tend to be short lived, typically less than a week.

D aspartic acid works in the central brain region and helps to release of certain hormones including the growth hormone, the luteinizing hormone, and the follicle stimulating hormone. A number of studies have confirmed that this amino acid is a formidable testosterone enhancer, as can be seen here.

Is D-Aspartic Acid DAA Adequately Priced?

Vitamin B6 to a lesser degree, and D aspartic acid are the only testosterone enhancing ingredients in this supplement. Therefore I would think that any increases in testosterone will be moderate. On the plus side, it appears to be side-effect free, but looking at this supplement overall, I feel that they price tag of $34.64 is a bit hefty.
