BULLET PROOF (By Muscle Pharm): Review

Bullet-Proof

What does Bullet Proof do?

Bullet Proof can be best described as an “advanced night time and recovery system”.  Bullet Proof has been developed by the world-famous supplements developer known as MusclePharm. The main purpose of this product is to help to maximize the recovery and repair phase.

This is particularly useful if you happen to be a regular bodybuilder or a power lifter.  The periods in between your workouts will be drastically cut, meaning that you will be able to work out more frequently and effectively.

Bullet Proof will also aid in the stimulation of the growth hormone, better known as HGH. This means that during your recovery period, an increase in protein synthesis will mean that you will achieve more muscle mass in less time.

Are the Ingredients Effective?

The main ingredient that is relevant to testosterone enhancement is L-Dopa. L-Dopa is a recognized precursor to dopamine. Its supplementation leads to an increase in dopamine, and has been used to help alleviate symptoms of Parkinson’s disease for a number of years. Mucuna pruriens are known to be rich in L-Dopa.

Currently, there is not enough human research that has been conducted on L-Dopa and its effects on testosterone.

Nevertheless, preliminary animal testing on rodents has pointed to increases in circulating testosterone within 14 days. A further trial on Japanese quails also confirmed increased testosterone levels.

Without the existence of actual human studies looking at L-Dopa’s potential influence on human testosterone levels, it would be speculative to try and predict its effectiveness.

Surprisingly, Bullet Proof boasts a massive list of additional ingredients that actually have no relevance to testosterone enhancement.

Are There Any Side Effects?

We have been unable to find any noticeable side-effects.

Is It Adequately Priced?

Despite a substantial list of ingredients, only one ingredient can even be remotely associated with testosterone enhancement, and that is L-Dopa. Preliminary tests on rodents and Japanese quails look very promising, but in the absence of actual human trials, it is almost impossible to try and predict its influence on human testosterone levels.

To give Bullet Proof the benefit of doubt, even if L-Dopa was proven to be capable of enhancing testosterone levels in humans, any increases would be marginal at the ready most.

On this basis, the $35.84 price-tag is inadequate.
