BATTLE FUEL XT (By MusclePharm): Review

What does Battle Fuel XT do?

Battle Fuel XT is described as an “advanced stage testosterone system”.  Battle Fuel XT’s main function is to build muscle and the main ingredient being the D-aspartic acid.

The manufacturer, MusclePharm, claims that this product is a cutting edge formula designed to enhance “all things male within you”.  Battle Fuel XT also helps you to bolster your gym performances allowing you to build lean muscle. Furthermore, Battle Fuel XT feeds anabolism and promotes strength within the body.

Are the Ingredients Effective?

The main testosterone enhancing ingredients in Battle Fuel XT include vitamin D, which is helpful in activating leptins, which trick the brain into thinking that the stomach is full, making this an ideal ingredient to avoid overeating.

Magnesium helps to aid free and total testosterone, as well as providing enhanced muscular relaxation. Zinc is an essential element that is required for maintaining healthy testosterone levels.

Battle Fuel XT also contains d-aspartic acid. D-aspartic acid is one half of aspartic acid. The other half is called L-aspartate. The benefits of d-aspartic are very specific to it, and do not extend to aspartic acid as a whole. Clinical studies have suggested that d-aspartic acid is a potent testosterone enhancer.

In one clinical trial, d-aspartic acid was supplemented to subjects over a period of 12 days, and this resulted in increases of up to 60% in infertile men.

L-Dopa is known to be a precursor to dopamine. Its supplementation leads to an increase in dopamine levels in the body, and this ingredient has been used to help alleviate symptoms of Parkinson’s diseases. Mucuna Pruriens are known to be a rich source of L-Dopa.

Preliminary tests on rodents have demonstrated increases in circulating testosterone within 14 days. A further study involving Japanese quails also noted substantial increases in testosterone values.

Nevertheless, there is a noticeable absence of human trials, which makes it almost impossible to try and predict exactly what effects L-Dopa would have on testosterone in humans.

And finally, Battle Fuel XT contains Longifolia aquatic extract, which is better known as LongJack. This ingredient is known for enhancing fertility, as well as providing a number of aphrodisiac effects. More recent evidence seems to suggest that LongJack may also be an effective anti-estrogenic agent. Nevertheless, there is no clinical evidence to suggest that it possesses testosterone enhancing properties.

Are There Any Side Effects?

We have been unable to uncover any side-effects that people may have suffered from after using Battle Fuel XT.

Is It Adequately Priced?

Battle Fuel XT, no doubt contains beneficial ingredients such as vitamin D, magnesium, and zinc. Furthermore, d-aspartic acid is scientifically proven to enhance testosterone levels. But the remaining ingredient such as L-Dopa, although successful in animal trials, does not confirm its effectiveness on humans.

And then there is LongJack, which is often touted as an effective testosterone enhancing ingredient, which in fact, does have any bearing on testosterone levels whatsoever.

As a result, any testosterone enhancement will be in the moderate-to-mediocre range.

On this basis, the price-tag of $30.98 is reasonable.
